A Rich History
The Hagerstown Historic City Farmer’s Market has a deep connection to the history of Hagerstown itself. Originally established in 1783 as City Market, the market was initially held at the old City Hall; the city was still named "Elizabethtown" at the time.
In August of 1928, the market relocated to its current home at the new markethouse located at 25 W Church Street, now known as Hub City Brewery, where it was renamed the Historic City Farmer’s Market.
